Tucker Company, a provider of logistics services for shippers throughout North America, has opened branch offices in Boston and Albany. The Boston office, headed by vice president of sales Hugh McLaughlin, boosts Tucker's already-strong presence in the Northeast, the company said. New England is an especially strong market for technology, chemicals, healthcare and pharmaceutical shippers, according to chief executive officer Jeffrey Tucker. The Albany office, headed by senior customer-service coordinator Rossie Knight, is Tucker's first off-site office dedicated solely to customer service. The central New York location provides support for Tucker's Dedicated Logistics Division. In addition to opening the two branch offices, the company recently launched a Consulting Division, and has completed a 50-percent expansion of its headquarters office in Cherry Hill, N.J. In addition, it said it is making progress with its ISO 9001 training, and anticipates achieving certification by the middle of this year. Services offered by Tucker Company include freight-transportation management for truckload and less-than-truckload freight, intermodal, expedited and air freight.
