Avery Dennison and TradeCard say their new collaboration will deliver powerful visibility and process automation capabilities to retailers, manufacturers and brand owners that source globally. The effort will combine the features of Avery Dennison's InfoChain Express supply chain visibility solution and TradeCard's Supplier Enablement Solution, a hosted sourcing platform and financial settlement network. The solution will be available on-demand. For the first time, the companies contend, anyone that sources merchandise globally will be able to obtain full visibility and process automation in financial settlements, shipping, packing and ASN creation through a hosted solution.
The new product will be delivered in late 2008 and gradually migrate existing customers onto the new, hosted solution, according to TradeCard and the Information and Brand Management Division of Avery Dennison.
The partners say the new product will enable buyers and suppliers to access extended supply chain services and utilize a single central set of data for sourcing and supply chain finance processes. The strategic collaboration provides in-country and in-language support.
"TradeCard excels in building, delivering and running hosted applications for sourcing and financial settlement," says Kim P. Macaulay, vice president, Product Management & Strategic Business Development for Avery Dennison. "The partnership combines two best-of-breed providers for end-to-end visibility into the flow of product and payment throughout the supply chain to enhance supply chain execution and control all the way down to the factory floor. Customers will receive a feature-rich system with improved functionality for supply chain execution management, and the opportunity to expand their capabilities to include financial services available on the TradeCard Platform."
