Oracle Corp. and the Accenture consultancy have integrated Oracle Fusion Middleware into Accenture Communications Systems. The latter is Accenture's suite of business offerings designed to mitigate the risk of deploying operations support system (OSS) and business support system (BSS) software applications. Oracle Fusion Middleware is a pre-integrated portfolio of software which links portals and process managers with application infrastructure and business intelligence. According to the partners, the newly integrated capabilities are intended to improve the ability of communications service providers to launch new services while reducing the risk of exceeding product budgets and time limits. Accenture is also adopting Oracle's Application Integration Architecture for Communications to provide additional tools for the communications industry. Accenture said it will draw on those pre-built software products to help service providers bring new offerings to market more quickly.
