RoadLink USA, an independent provider of intermodal logistics services in North America, has expanded in the Pacific Northwest with the acquisition of Seattle, Wash.-based West Coast Trucking (WCT). With major operations centers in Seattle and Portland, Ore., WCT moves containerized freight between ports or rail terminals and shipment destinations. Its fleet of 70 trucks, run entirely by owner-operators, serves ocean carriers, shippers, railroads and intermodal marketing companies. Chris Munro, president and chief executive officer of RoadLink, said the integration of WCT will expand the company's presence in the Pacific Northwest as well as Canadian markets. RoadLink said it is adding a regional staff, expanding services to and from Canada and building on its North American network. RoadLink has more than 60 service centers, 50 on-site customer locations, 2,000 vehicles and more than 5,000 associates and independent contractors.
