Intelleflex Corp., a vendor of radio-frequency identification (RFID) technology, has made available an RFID tag designed to withstand harsh temperatures and other demanding environments. The SXT-7110 can function in temperatures ranging from -40 degrees to +125 degrees Celsius. The tag's design also allows for operation in radio-frequency environments located in proximity to metals, liquids and outdoors. Introduction of the extended-temperature tag follows Intelleflex's recently announced badge and metal-mount tags, all part of the vendor's suite of Extended Capability RFID products. Applications for the SXT-7110 include mounting on vehicles and equipment that are subject to repeated steam-pressure washing. The tag will aid customers in asset tracking, yard-management, parts maintenance, manufacturing and other demanding applications, Intelleflex said.
