The Responsible Purchasing Network has launched a consulting arm to assist companies and institutions seeking to "green" their operations-and improve the bottom line in the process.
RPN is a national network of procurement-related professionals dedicated to socially responsible and environmentally sustainable purchasing. RPN is said to have worked closely with industrial, educational, and government institutions, including the U.S. House of Representatives.
Services provided by RPN consultants include on-site audits, contract evaluations, product and vendor evaluations, cost benefit calculations, custom policies and implementation guidelines, and training on and off-site. It also offers custom purchasing guides, including sample specifications for electronics, lighting, energy, paper, fleets, cleaners and other products.
RPN is part of the Center for a New American Dream.
