Seko Worldwide, a global provider of logistics and supply-chain services, has opened new facilities in Mexico. The company will offer freight forwarding throughout the country, in addition to the U.S., Canada, Europe and Asia. The main office of the new operation is in Mexico City, near the Mexico City International Airport. Additional activities will be based in Manzanillo, Veracruz and Nuevo Laredo. Seko also maintains an office across the border, in Laredo, Texas. In Mexico, the provider will offer customized air- and sea-freight forwarding, customs brokerage, warehouse management, ground freight to the U.S. and Canada, and door-to-door service for both full truckload and less-than-truckload freight. The Mexico City office includes 50,000 square feet of space for warehousing and distribution. It is served by the Mexico City International Airport as well as the seaports of Manzanillo on the Pacific Coast, and Veracruz on the Gulf of Mexico. Heading up the Mexican office is Cedric R. Sosa, a vice president of Seko Mexico. He will oversee a staff of 65 throughout the country. Seko has more than 145 facilities around the world.
