The annual Supply Chain Finance Summit is set to return to Singapore in 2020. Registration is now open for the educational arm of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), ICC Academy’s, flagship event, which takes place from 4-5 March.
Marking its ninth edition in 2020, the Summit offers unparalleled networking opportunities with over 300 international participants from across the supply chain finance (SCF) industry—including trade finance experts, chief financial officers, corporate credit and risk managers, corporate treasurers, import managers, trade specialists, bankers, insurers and consultants, as well as vendors from more than 20 countries.
The 2020 agenda focuses on some of today’s most pertinent SCF issues. Discussions will offer insights into the shifting trade landscape and its effect on SCF. This includes innovations in financing digitised supply chains; sustainable supply chains; and ensuring regulatory considerations and alternative finance become mainstay, among other key developments. Participants will also hear a range of real-world experiences aiming to showcase the best options available for their respective companies – from a corporate’s view of the global supply chain and a supplier’s perspective on the industry’s digital evolution to a platform player’s views on revolutionising supply chain on blockchain.
Commenting on the upcoming event, Managing Director of the ICC Academy Daniel Kok said: “According to the 2018 ICC Global Survey on Trade Finance, banks are processing the largest volumes of trade finance ever. That’s an uptick of more than 30% growth. With supply chains extending across the world, and businesses facing increased scrutiny, today’s professionals need to be up to date with the latest knowledge and know-how. After our successful SCF event this year, we look forward to our 2020 Summit, which will spotlight supply chain ecosystems and how to effectively bridge physical and financial supply chains.”
The SCF Summit will feature over 45 distinguished speakers in a series of informative and interactive sessions designed to address global challenges and trends. Some of the leading experts and players on the roster are Baldev Bhinder of Blackstone and Gold; Alexander Capri of the National University of Singapore; Nick Chen of Lenovo; Olivier Paul of ICC Banking Commission; Kah Chye Tan of CCRManager; Sean Edwards of Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation; Shirish Garg of Lloyds Bank; Sonal Priyanka of Societe Generale; and Dorjee Sun of Perlin, ICC’s technology partner.
An additional feature is directed at our ICC Academy credit holders. Those looking to attend can earn 10 PDC’s towards any ICC Academy certification or 10 PDU’s towards CDCS and CSDG re-certifications.
