What’s to be learned from 100,000 assessments of sustainability in global procurement?
Since 2008, EcoVadis has conducted detailed assessments of companies’ adherence to environmental protection, labor and human rights, and business ethics within their global procurement organizations. A hundred thousand assessments later, some clear trends and lessons have emerged. On this episode, we speak with Sylvain Guyoton, senior vice president of research with EcoVadis. He discloses the progress toward procurement sustainability to date; which industries, regions and company sizes are performing best in the supply chain; which areas they’re prioritizing, and which ones still need work. To be sure, some positive results have emerged from the monitoring effort. But even industry leaders are far from perfect, and there’s plenty of room for improvement. Hosted by Bob Bowman, Editor-in-Chief of SupplyChainBrain.
