ExpressCube has created Featherweight Gold-M, a mobile workstation for cubing, weighing and slotting in warehouses. ExpressCube makes dimension and weighing equipment that helps users to eliminate chargebacks, while optimizing their warehouse and logistics operations. Featherweight Gold-M is mounted on a sturdy workstation cart with a rechargeable battery power source that can operate for 12 hours. It can be used in "fly-in" operations for multiple warehouses, greenfield operations for new facilities, warehouse turnarounds in concert with new warehouse-management software (WMS) systems, or on an occasional basis, when new products and boxes must be sized and weighed. The technology uses no lasers or moving parts, and is impervious to the dust and motion of warehouse environments. Users capture data at the point of origin, allowing for faster and more accurate inventory reporting, according to ExpressCube. The new mobile workstation has just three parts and can be assembled in less than 30 minutes, the company said.
