Premier Decorations Limited, a leading U.K. importer of Christmas decorations, and summer and Halloween products, has selected the HighJump warehouse management system for its distribution warehouse in Wrexham.
"We started the search for a new warehouse management system in March 2007 after deciding we could find a more cost-effective alternative to our 3PL WMS contract," says Ron Athwal, logistics operations manager. "We wanted a system that could meet and build upon the performance parameters expected in our state-of-the-art warehouse and logistics facility."
Premier Decorations sells directly to retailers across a variety of segments. These include department stores, wholesalers, 'do-it-yourself' stores, garden centers and small shops, as well as mail order companies and specialty outlets in the U.K. The 265,000-square-foot distribution center in Wrexham stocks more than 8,500 SKUs.
