Cleo Communications, a vendor of data communications products and services, has released new trading partner-management features within its VersaLex Trader (VLTrader) software. The enhancement allows larger companies and trading networks to coordinate both the initial network launch as well as day-to-day management of file transfers. The function known as VLNavigator manages multiple VLTraders and sets up role-based accounts. The software speeds up network rollouts by removing all configuration and setup obstacles for trading partners, according to Cleo. VLFax sends outbound faxes directly through VLTrader, providing users with an alternative method of communicating with partners or locations that request faxing or cannot accept other methods of electronic data transfer. VLTrader also supports back-up connections in automatic failover and load-balancing scenarios. The updates and enhancements are available within VersaLex 3.6, Cleo said.
