The partners intend to release a new time and temperature smart label, with HarvestMark traceability technology from YottaMark, in the third quarter of 2008. The combined product will provide growers, shippers and retailers with instant trace-back, easy trace-forward and integrated cold-chain monitoring linked to the unit level, with all data accessible via an online portal, the companies aid. Customers will have visibility into environmental conditions during shipping that could impact product quality and safety. The HarvestMark product is fully compatible with the Produce Marketing Association's "Guidelines on Traceability." Available in an on-demand mode, the service eliminates the need for installation of software. Integrated time and temperature data will be available to authorized users on harvestmark.com.
