End-to-end visibility of data and product is essential to the efficient operation of consumer packaged goods supply chains. Unfortunately, many are running blind.
The COVID-19 pandemic exposed all kinds of shortcomings in global supply chains, most notably a lack of visibility of product at all stages, from raw materials acquisition through manufacturing and final delivery to the end customer. The task only becomes tougher as CPG suppliers come to rely more heavily on outside partners for many of those key processes. On this episode, we get a glimpse at the state of visibility in CPG supply chains, with the help of two industry veterans: Jake Barr, principal and chief executive officer of BlueWorld Supply Chain Consulting, and Hank Canitz, vice president of industry solutions at Nulogy. They describe progress toward achieving complete visibility of the data that’s integral to supplier networks. And their report card on current practices isn’t as gloomy as one might think. Hosted by Bob Bowman, Editor-in-Chief of SupplyChainBrain.
