Kawasaki Kisen Kaisha, Ltd. ("K" Line) has launched a new service, dubbed SEAS, between Asia and the east coast of South America. The coverage is being provided in partnership with China Shipping (CSCL), CMA CGM and Maruba Line. The SEAS service is offering a pair of complementary strings, known as SEAS I and SEAS II, each supported by 10 vessels with an average capacity of 2,500 twenty-foot equivalent units. "K" Line will contribute two ships, with nine from CMA CGM, five from CSCL and four from Maruba. The weekly rotation of the SEAS I loop will be Qingdao, Pusan, Shanghai, Chiwan, Port Kelang, Rio de Janeiro, Santos, Buenos Aires, Montevideo, Rio Grande, Itajai, Santos, Port Kelang, Hong Kong and Qingdao. SEAS II will call Shanghai, Ningbo, Hong Kong, Shekou, Port Kelang, Santo, Buenos Aires, Sao Francisco do Sul, Paranagua, Santos, Rio de Janeiro, Durban, Port Kelang, Hong Kong and Shanghai.
