TradeStone Software, a vendor of applications for private label and global sourcing, has released TradeStone Version 2008. The software supports merchandise lifecycle management. The newest version features advanced graphics, visuals and workflow capabilities for retailers and product development managers. It focuses on the merchandise mix, rather than a single product, and offers more graphical presentations of information for interactive and analytical purposes. Version 2008 also includes a new Quality Assurance (QA) module, able to handle technical specifications, grading, design and development of product from a retailer's perspective. The QA module includes more comprehensive design construction elements, along with a baseline for product testing, certification and compliance. Other updates include TradeStone Visuals, a graphical view which illustrates the status of products moving through a project cycle; LifeTrack Reporting, with detailed graphics highlighting critical project milestones, and Google Maps Layering, providing the user with a world view of its activities, including green lights that indicate where production is on target and goods are ready for inspection, and red lights alerting the user to problems at a specific factory. TradeStone 2008 includes support for Oracle 10G as well as SQL Server.
