Kangxin (KX) Logistics has opened a new refrigerated food warehouse in the People's Republic of China. Located in Beijing, the warehouse covers 40,000 square feet. It is the fourth such facility to be operated by KX Logistics in China; the others are in Tianjin, Suzhou and Guangzhou. The Beijing warehouse can hold up to 12,000 tons of food at temperatures as low as -28 degrees Celsius. Since 2003, when Rich Products Corp. acquired a majority interest in KX Logistics, the third-party logistics provider has quadrupled its fleet of refrigerated trucks in China. It now has 100 low-temperature transport vehicles and 100 logistics vehicles, moving product throughout the country. KX Logistics has a staff of around 350, with warehouses and offices in 14 cities across China. Its services include transport and delivery at normal, freezing and cold-preservation temperatures; low-temperature storage; packing and processing; liquid jar transport and multimodal options.
