Republic National Distributing Co., reportedly the second-largest wholesaler and distributor of premium wine and distilled alcoholic beverages in the U.S., will replace its category management systems with several solutions from JDA Software.
The distributor expects to optimize opportunities with best-practice space management processes, shared databases and common reporting practices across its 21 states. The solutions it is implementing include Space Planning, Space Automation and Efficient Item Assortment.
"This software will enable us to more effectively calculate and execute category plans, achieving demand-based precision merchandising for maximized profitability and sales per square foot," says Dirk van Renesse, corporate director of category management for the distributor.
