MHF Logistics Solutions Inc. has launched a new venture, MHF Supply Chain Solutions (MHF-SCS), to meet the demand for integrated rail services supporting complex logistics operations in general commodities and emerging markets. The new division will make use of the parent's full array of transportation and packaging capabilities, providing logistics services for rail, intermodal, truckload, less-than-truckload, air, international, transloading and supply-chain management, all through a single point of contact. Services will be available to shippers whose needs include access to multimodal transportation and packaging options. Overseeing the new business will be Ryan Harrington, director of sales and marketing. MHS-SCS, in turn, has launched a Carload Solutions business unit, offering door-to-door rail service. The company will bundle rail, transloading and trucking into an integrated service under a single invoice. MHF Logistical Solutions is a third-party logistics provider focusing on rail-related services. It targets customers in the nuclear utilities, environmental services, mining, metals, chemical and petrochemical industries. Headquarters are in Cranberry Township, PA.
