A maker of emergency vehicles has managed to surmount its own set of supply chain emergencies.
Things have been rough for automotive manufacturers over the past three years on the supply chain side, but specialty vehicle makers also have faced their own unique challenges. One of the most successful is the REV Group, an American producer of ambulances, buses, fire trucks and recreational vehicles. On this episode, chief supply officer Rob Vislosky tells how the company has survived the pandemic years, with a particular focus on procurement strategy. Its emphasis on supplier diversification has helped the REV Group to continue to manufacture successfully in the U.S. But it’s not immune from the issues that all heavy manufacturers are encountering in a difficult economy. Vislosky also discusses the company’s move into electric vehicles. Hosted by Bob Bowman, Editor-in-Chief of SupplyChainBrain.
