The ZebraNet Internal Wireless Plus print server of Zebra Technologies is now available for use with the vendor's PAX4 OEM print engines for print-and-apply applications. Zebra is a maker of specialty printing and automatic identification systems. The Internal Wireless Plus server features enhanced 802.11b/g wireless security. Secured within the print engine, the theft-resistant tool includes a tethered antenna that is designed to sit outside the metal application for optimized wireless reception. It offers added print-engine placement flexibility, even around metal objects, Zebra said. The print server allows users to get their PAX4 print engines running securely on a wireless network right out of the box, the vendor said. Supplied with a wireless radio card to support security and protocols, they do not need to look to third-party vendors for a card. The selected radio will be compatible with radios sourced and used in Zebra's mobile products. For customers that already have PAX4 print engines, Zebra offers a field installation kit for retrofit.
