International technology company Centific Global Solutions announced June 6 that it had launched its new software as a service (SaaS) platform Pitaya.AI, providing retailers with numerous tools that utilize artificial intelligence to handle issues like shrinkage, workplace safety, stockout and a lack of customer behavior visibility.

In a statement, Centific said that Pitaya.AI will be able to address stealing within the retail space by preventing theft at cashier-assisted and self-checkout lanes. Moreover, Pitaya.AI will stop retail organized crime because it can detect loitering and the rapid pickup of multiple items.
