The global consulting and material handling automation firm enVista released its Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) 204 Compliance Strategy service June 27 as a response to tightened manufacturing, processing, packaging and handling guidelines recently announced by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.
The service will provide companies with access to enVista’s customized supply chain tracking and tracing capabilities. The FSMA 204 compliance strategy service can also identify supply chain gaps, enabling organizations to create a detailed plan for optimizing their traceability standards across all operations.
“Advanced traceability standards and technology are still breaking into a lot of supply chains,” said Nick Brown, enVista’s director of transportation. “Many organizations need to start by understanding what traceability is, why it’s important, and what it will look like in their operations. That’s why it’s key that our FSMA 204 service is customizable to every supply chain, no matter its size or experience with traceability.”
