Aras, a provider of Microsoft open-source software, has launched the Aras Partner Program for systems integrators specializing in product lifecycle management (PLM) and product design management (PDM). Because of their open-source business model, the vendor's PLM applications carry no license fees. The Partner Program offers the ability to resell Aras subscriptions for additional sales revenue. Partners get access to free training, marketing materials, pre-sales tools, demos and proven delivery techniques. Systems integrators can take advantage of Microsoft skill sets that are already on staff, and there are no proprietary languages to learn. The program provides structured materials and complete training in order to make technical personnel proficient quickly. Aras is currently adding qualified new partners worldwide, the vendor said.
