Despite the fact that the company has tried to "ramp up production of some of its bestselling planes," Boeing has only delivered 266 aircraft to consumers so far this year, less than the output recorded by rival company Airbus, which has supplied 316 aircraft to customers during the same period, according to CNBC.
Boeing added that, in June, it won orders for 288 aircraft, net of cancellations and conversions, most of which came from a massive deal with Air India that was initially announced in June. Boeing's total net orders for June 2023 reached 305 aircraft after the organization added some planes to its backlog.
During June, Boeing supplied organizations with 60 new aircraft, including 39 787 Dreamliners to Riyadh Air, as part of a deal that was first announced in March.
After releasing data July 11 for its major program deliveries across commercial and defense operations for Q2 2023, Boeing added that it would provide detailed results for the second quarter of its 2023 fiscal year on July 26. Those results will likely include Boeing’s plans to increase production of its 737 Max planes and 787 Dreamliners.
