Less-Than-Truckload (LTL) carrier TForce Freight announced July 13 that it had reached a tentative agreement with the U.S. International Brotherhood of Teamsters Union on a renewed, five-year collective bargaining agreement. Teamsters represent more than 7,000 TForce workers across the United States.
In a statement, TForce Freight said that it was pleased with the mutually beneficial terms that both sides agreed on.
The agreement is still subject to ratification by employees, which is expected to occur soon.
Prior to the new deal being announced, Teamsters at TForce Freight voted to authorize a strike June 16 had the union’s national contract with the company expired on July 31 as originally expected.
