Ocean Network Express (ONE), the world’s sixth-largest ocean carrier by volume according to Alphaliner, announced it would be launching FLX in September 2023, a new service connecting the West Coast of South America to the East Coast of North America.

The service will deploy four vessels connecting Peru and Ecuador to South Florida. Direct routes from Callao to South Florida will take 11 days, nine days for Paita to South Florida and eight days for Guayaquil to South Florida. Simultaneously, FLX will provide direct connections from South Florida to Honduras, Colombia, Peru and Ecuador.

“With our reefer services, we have established ourselves as a significant player on the Latin America-Asia route, for which we have earned praise from our customers over the years,” ONE said in a July 28 statement. “To further improve the quality of our transportation services, we are redoubling our efforts by investing in state-of-the-art equipment, including Control Atmosphere (CA) containers and telematics devices.”
