GE Appliances hosted Kentucky state government officials at its Appliance Park venue in Louisville September 27 to debut the company’s new dishwasher manufacturing lines, representing the completion of a $450 million transformation initiative that first began in 2021. GE Appliances claims the dishwasher expansion makes the plant the biggest of its kind in the U.S.
“We are committed to U.S. manufacturing and Louisville, Kentucky,” said Kevin Nolan, president and CEO of GE Appliances. “From design to production, our team is always finding a better way to bring the latest appliance technology to homes and families across America. Together, with our state and local partners, we are building a stronger state economy and community.”
GE Appliances has invested over $2 billion in its U.S. manufacturing and distribution processes since 2016, creating more than 4,000 new jobs. Based on data released by GE Appliances earlier this year, the company’s investments, supplier base, customers and payroll contributed over $7.4 billion to Kentucky’s gross domestic product (GDP) in 2022.
