The Austrian transportation company Gebrüder Weiss, which currently has a fleet of ten electric vans (e-vans), announced October 9 that it will begin offering the use of its e-vans for home delivery purposes across several Hungarian cities starting in 2024.
After the company began offering the use of its e-vans in Budapest over the summer, the organization ordered ten additional Ford E-Transit e-vans that will be deployed in Győr, Pécs, Zalaegerszeg and Szeged next year.
“Our vehicles are powered by a low-noise and eco-friendly electric motor, which makes them the perfect choice for urban traffic. Not only do they help improve air quality, but they also contribute to our organizational goal of becoming climate-neutral by 2030,” said Bálint Varga, the country manager of Hungary for Gebrüder Weiss. “We want our transports to be as sustainable as possible, and these zero-emission deliveries are an important step in that direction.”
