Black Friday (November 24, 2023) is expected to be the busiest shopping day of the year in the U.S. while Boxing Day (December 26, 2023) is forecast to be the busiest shopping day of 2023 in Canada, according to a recent report.
In a study recently published by the retail insights provider Sensormatic Solutions, entitled “North America’s Busiest Holiday Shopping Days of 2023,” eight of the ten busiest shopping days of the year in the U.S. fall in December. Three out of the five busiest shopping days in Canada take place in December as well.
Sensormatic predicted that the Saturday after Black Friday, November 25, will be one of the ten busiest shopping days of 2023, joining Black Friday as the only two non-December shopping days to make the list in the U.S.
In Canada, Black Friday is only expected to be the second-busiest shopping day of the year after it was overtaken by Boxing Day. In the U.S. though, Boxing Day is expected to be the sixth busiest shopping day of the year, a three-spot drop from 2022.
