The Canadian supply chain software company Tecsys announced November 27 that it had launched its Elite Warehouse Management System (WMS) for Healthcare Distribution.
The new system will help companies ensure they are compliant with regulations laid out in the Drug Supply Chain Security Act (DSCSA), which was passed into law in November.
Tecsys said the system will eliminate the need for companies to run multiple programs simultaneously, which will help businesses avoid dual-entry workflows.
"While the industry plays catch up on this functionality, Tecsys has the distinct advantage of several years of experience designing and enhancing DSCSA-driven capabilities," said John Reichert, the senior director of Supply Chain Execution at Tecsys. "This newly launched WMS offering builds on that advanced serialization foundation to provide the market a highly targeted and robust DSCSA-compliant warehouse management system. It's not just about avoiding non-compliance penalties. It's about enhancing efficiency, ensuring the integrity of your supply chain, and ultimately delivering better service to your healthcare providers and their patients."
