According to Brightpoint, Turkey is one of the world's growing wireless markets, with an attractive mobile phone industry. Brightpoint is seeking to acquire market share in Turkey as one of the country's first foreign distributors within the area of value-added distribution for the telecommunications sector. Expansion into Turkey is consistent with Brightpoint's growth strategy, the company said. In 2007, Brightpoint handled approximately 83 million wireless devices globally. Its services include distribution, channel development, fulfillment, product customization, electronic business services and other outsourced activities. The company claims more than 25,000 business-to-business customers worldwide.
