The Vienna-based mobile data capture and analysis company Anyline announced February 19 that it had launched a new type of autonomous drone inventory management software for warehouses.
Anyline said that it worked with the multinational paper and packaging company Mondi to develop this autonomous drone barcode scanning technology.
Prior to the use of these drones, multiple workers would have to use forklifts to manually lift people so that they could scan inventory across large warehouses, according to Anyline. With this technology though, Anyline said that a single drone operator can easily scan inventory, creating a safer and more accurate tracking process for warehouses.
"Both Anyline and Mondi are passionate about innovation," said Lukas Kinigadner, the CEO and co-founder of Anyline. "We are proud to be a part of this project, which is redefining what is technologically possible in inventory management but can also be applied across other industries. We look forward to continuing to work with Mondi and other organizations redefining expectations and inspiring others to innovate and transform the way they work."
