Transportation attorneys Brandon Wiseman and Jerad Childress have announced the launch of eRegs, a digital tool motor carriers can use to give drivers easy digital access to the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations (FMCSRs).
The web and mobile app offers fleets a fully digital alternative to the process of distributing physical regulation books to drivers. It also gives drivers the ability to read and annotate the FMCSRs, as well as highlight and bookmark specific sections. It includes educational content developed by Department of Transportation safety consulting firm Trucksafe, to help drivers better understand the regulations.
The regulations are also continuously updated in the app as changes to the FMCRs are made at the federal level, making it so motor carriers don't have to purchase new editions.
"Depending on the size of their fleet, carriers stand to save thousands of dollars each year by transitioning away from physical books and to eRegs," co-founder Josh Childress said.
