The occurrence of cyberattacks on global supply chains is hardly news. But their frequency might come as a surprise: a 633% increase in incidents in the last year, according to a recent report from supply chain management company Sonatype. Why so many now? And why aren’t companies doing more to protect themselves? We seek answers from Theo Zafirakos, cyber risk and information security expert with cybersecurity software provider Fortra. He details the measures that supply chains should be employing to shore themselves up against attacks, including vigorous third-party risk management, zero-trust architecture, security awareness training and creation of an effective incident response plan. We also ask the question: Is artificial intelligence the answer to, or bane of, supply chain cybersecurity? Hosted by Bob Bowman, Editor-in-Chief of SupplyChainBrain.
