Wheels Logistics has opened a new warehouse facility near Pearson International Airport in Mississauga, Ontario. The 70,000-square-foot operation provides customers from both Canada and the U.S. with a central facility capable of reaching 64 percent of Canada's population with next-day service, the company said. Activities within the new warehouse include kitting, order picking, fulfillment and distribution services. The location has been in the planning stages for a year, according to Wheels Logistics president Jim Davidson. Wheels Logistics is a division of Wheels Group, a provider of supply-chain services and technology. The company serves international customers through four divisions: Wheels Group, offering shared services and strategy; Wheels Clipper, a third-party logistics provider; Wheels Logistics, a specialist in contracted services supporting just-in-time delivery, and Wheels Global, a freight forwarder.
