TMW Systems, Inc. has created the TMT ServiceCenter. The offering consists of software designed to support service centers that perform contracted outsourced fleet management as well as retail maintenance and repair. It is intended for shops and garages looking to boost business through the offering of new customer services. Benefits of the software, according to TMW, include the ability to invoice customers electronically; provide preventive maintenance notice and tracking; and make service reservations, and review or approve estimates, online. Customers can track a series of key performance indicators, including mechanic productivity, while scheduling shop operations in line with demand and managing parts inventories with purchasing controls. Customer invoices are generated automatically, based on a technician's electronic input of parts, labor and services. Other results include a reduction in administrative expense and automation of warranty claims opportunities, TMW claimed. The company, which focuses on the transportation services industry, also sells the TMT Fleet Maintenance software.
