Zoho has announced two new products, Zoho Marketplace and Zoho Creator 3.0. The first application establishes an online community where participants can buy and sell Zoho Creator applications. They are free to negotiate prices and execute transactions in any manner that suits them. According to the vendor, users can find ready-made Zoho Creator applications in the Zoho Marketplace, and install them in seconds. They can also post their application needs in the Marketplace, allowing developers to bid on particular apps. In turn, developers looking to sell Creator applications can devise customized Web-based tools based on user requirements posted in the Marketplace. Or they can build ready-made apps and post them in the Marketplace for broader distribution. In version 3.0 of Zoho Creator, users can create customizable applications through simple drag-and-drop operations. Creator's Form Builder, View Builder and Script Builder functions speed up the time involved in creating business apps, the vendor said. Additions to Zoho Creator in version 3.0 include custom HTML pages, which can be built by embedding Deluge code; mashups, combining data from external websites via Web application programming interfaces (APIs) using the GetURL and PostURL statements in Deluge; and capability for stateless forms, CRUD (create, read, update, delete) operations, and scriptable multiple select components.
