Cartonization technology provider Paccurate announces a new packing analytics tool, PacHealth. As the latest enhancement to the Paccurate platform, PacHealth provides shippers with precise data and actionable insights to benchmark packing operations, target areas for improvement, and uncover opportunities for cost savings and sustainability enhancements.
"PacHealth,” says James Malley, CEO and co-founder of Paccurate, “gives shippers a clear, data-driven understanding of their overall packing performance."
PacHealth leverages historical shipping data to establish a “perfect pack” benchmark. Shippers then compare their actual performance against this benchmark using a PacHealth scoring system, which combines key performance indicators such as transportation spend, corrugate usage and void reduction. Dan Norton, Paccurate VP of product, explains that the data enables shippers to identify trends in cost and efficiency in real time with their operation, assisting with budgeting, forecasting and procurement processes.
When paired with PacSimulate, shippers can monitor how changes to packaging, products or processes will affect their PacHealth score. Taken as a whole, the platform helps shippers identify the areas with the greatest potential for optimization.
This new technology also ensures shippers are in compliance with current parcel packing regulations and helps them to prepare for stricter mandates to come.
In the near future, notifications will identify trends like higher-than-average cartons per order, or lower-than-average fill rate, as well as recommendations and insights at the item and carton level. Shippers will be able to use the data to report on cartonization performance progress.
