Inttra and P&B Associates are getting together to offer software and data-management services to customers throughout Latin America. Inttra provides an electronic-commerce portal for the ocean freight industry. P&B is a vendor of software for freight forwarders, logistics providers and customs brokers. Their new alliance combines P&B's Forward system with the Inttra e-commerce platform. The goal, the partners said, is to streamline the submission of online shipping documentation. P&B's Forward 8.0 software will electronically transfer shipping instructions to Inttra's carrier network. Based in Buenos Aires, Argentina, P&B has a customer base spread throughout Latin America. The partnership will allow the company to expand its market presence in the region, while helping Inttra customers to expedite the data-entry process, the companies said. Relevant documentation processes will be controlled and validated by the Inttra platform. Forwarding agents will see increased productivity and accuracy of the information in their databases, while avoiding the duplication of data entries, according to Inttra.
