Lawson Software has made available Lawson Security FastTrack, an application designed to speed up the implementation and testing of Lawson Security 9.0. FastTrack includes a preconfigured and customizable set of task-based security classes, processes, templates, training modules and tools. It allows users to implement Security 9.0 in as little as six weeks, the vendor said. The flexible security platform features roles- and rules-based security architecture, which assigns a list of security rules and permissions to individuals within a company. An accounts payable clerk, for example, has access to a different set of information within the enterprise resource planning (ERP) system than a quality control manager. Lawson Professional Services offers services that help customers train their employees and implement the vendor's software applications. Lawson employs more than 1,200 consultants with industry-specific knowledge of best practices in business software. Lawson also provides implementation and education services.
