Danzas AEI Emirates LLC, a unit of DHL, has opened a multi-logistics facility in Dubai's Jebel Ali Free Zone. Covering 80,000 square meters, the operation is aimed at companies looking for a regional and global gateway, the company said. Currently the facility has a built-up area of 54,000 square meters, including 6,700 square meters of office space and an 8,000-square-meter, temperature-controlled distribution center for the life sciences sector. Offering support for cold-chain logistics, the center is dedicated to serving the needs of the pharmaceutical industry, DHL said. Danzas AEI Emirates is a joint venture between DHL Management Ltd. and Al Tayer Group LLC, a regional business with headquarters in Dubai. Danzas AEI is one of four businesses operating in the Middle East under Deutsche Post World Net. The company draws on the expertise of other DPWN companies, including DHL Exel Supply Chain, DHL Global Forwarding and DHL Express.
