Ribbit, provider of an open voice integration platform with headquarters in California's Silicon Valley, has released version 2.0 of Ribbit for Salesforce CRM (Customer Relationship Management). The tool builds on the vendor's existing integration of mobile voice communications with Salesforce CRM by adding landline and instant messaging communications. Both mobile and land line calls, as well as voicemail and voice memos, automatically flow into the Salesforce CRM application, allowing users to respond more quickly to voice communications, Ribbit said. Users call in notes rather than type them. They can manage voicemail like email, without the need for dialing into various mailboxes or worrying about messages getting deleted. Additional integration with Google Talk and Skype allows users to answer calls to their phones via their IM clients. Ribbit also announced creation of a channel partner program, which brings the vendor's voice and Web services integration platform to the Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) arena. The program includes systems integrators, resellers and telecom service providers. The Force.com platform supports the Salesforce CRM applications, with more than 800 independent software vendor applications.
