SAP AG has devised a series of enhancements to its SAP NetWeaver technology platform. Along with the new SAP NetWeaver Process Integration (PI) offering, the vendor has issued the latest release of its Adaptive Computing Controller tool. NetWeaver PI enables end-to-end process integration, with the goal of streamlining execution, automating workflow and reducing operational costs, SAP said. It includes an Enterprise Services Repository, enterprise services bus and more than 3,000 pre-packaged integration scenario templates and application adapters. The latest release of Adaptive Computing Controller provides the capability for managing SAP systems as a central point of control for assigning computing resources to run any service, on any server at any time, the vendor said. The tool sits atop and controls lower-level IT infrastructure offerings from SAP partners. It can operate physical as well as virtual servers in the data center. SAP further announced that the upcoming release of its NetWeaver Business Process Management (BPM) tool will provide a standardized environment for implementation and management of multi-faceted business processes.
