TradeBeam, a vendor of global trade management applications delivered under the Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) model, has built new updates into i-Supply. The collaborative inventory-management tool is intended to give manufacturers, suppliers and buyers increased visibility into their supply chains. The latest version features an enhanced Lean Order Scheduling feature, which enables the scheduling of multiple orders and pickups per day for as-needed inventory. By allowing for the sharing of information between supplier and manufacturer, i-Supply helps to ensure that actions are based on the same data. Manufacturers can limit production downtime that results from stockouts and excess inventory, TradeBeam said. I-Supply graphically displays component inventory status, including on-hand, forecast, usage, orders, shipments and receipts, as well as real-time notification exceptions. An improved dashboard interface provides a near-real-time summary view into inventory, shipping, receiving and supplier-quality ratings. Users can filter, sort and drill down into forecast demand, supplier capacity, projected inventory, actual usage, authorization history and critical inventory. Customers can monitor inventory within multiple facilities from a single dashboard, and create new orders based on exception, according to TradeBeam.
