Activant Solutions Inc. is now offering Activant B2B Seller version 5.5, the vendor's Web-based storefront. It offers distributors the tools necessary to servicing customers, while allowing them to extend their geographic reach without hiring additional employees or building new warehouses. The new version includes search engine optimization capability. It customizes meta-tags and titles of specific HTML pages, improving the chances for a desired site page to be returned in internet searches. In addition, administrative users can make changes to the site. Areas that can be configured include e-mail recipients, feature enablement for certain features, screen configuration for category search results, "contact us," item detail, item search, and "my account" report configuration. The new features are available in B2B Advanced and above. B2B Seller fully integrates with Prophet 21, the software system for distributors, while acting as an additional round-the-clock customer-support representative. The Activant software also offers functionality for shopping carts and shopping lists, the ability to select contracts at the line-item level, the viewing of open quotations in the My Account Open Quote section, and the ability for distributors with multiple Prophet 21 companies to share a single B2B Seller site.
