Penkse Truck Leasing Co., L.P., has expanded its relationship with Enhanced Vehicle Applications (EVA), the vendor of technology known as CyntrX for real-time GPS fleet tracking. Penske is now offering a wider selection of EVA's products for onboard commercial truck tracking. CyntrX allows users to generate custom profiles and reports with no software loading requirements. Penske will offer its customers two CyntrX units and add additional models as they become available. The company previously marketed CyntrX under the name FleetInSite, having worked closely with EVA since 2005. FleetInSite is being phased out, Penske said, and the units will now be marketed by the company as part of its wider Fleet I.Q. brand offering. In other company news, Penske has teamed up with PeopleNet for onboard commercial truck technology. The move marks a shift in the company's Fleet I.Q. strategy from offering a single, private-labeled product to a suite of products and services. Fleet I.Q. will become a portfolio of systems and services from a variety of suppliers such as PeopleNet. Penske will also provide a new financing option and in-house consulting to help customers analyze the data captured by the on-board fleet technology systems.
