International Asset Systems (IAS), a global asset management and information services provider targeting the container shipment industry, has opened an office in Nice, France. IAS says the new regional base consolidates its European team and adds in-depth operational expertise needed to meet growing customer demands in the region, according to the company.
"We are excited to be getting the European team under one roof, knowing that our customers throughout Europe and the Middle East will receive better, more responsive service from the new office," says Doug Owen, general manager for those two regions.
IAS, whose operational headquarters are in Oakland, Calif., says it processes more than 40,000 "container events" daily on behalf of more than 50 container transport providers. With more than 1600 IAS Connected container terminals, depots, rail yards and other facilities -many located within Europe-information is continuously fed into IAS's worldwide network. "By strengthening the IAS Europe operations team with more technical staff, we can deliver added expertise, enabling us to better respond to customer issues on the spot," says Owen. "This combined with our recently expanded offices in Hong Kong and Chicago has resulted in a significant improvement in our ability to provide a consistent, high quality service on a global basis."
