BlueStar Inc., a distributor of technology related to bar-coding, data collection and radio frequency identification, is now carrying UHF Gen 2 RFID hard tags and specialty labels from Confidex. The Confidex product line of hard tags includes the Confidex Ironside, Survivor, Steelwave, Steelwave Micro and Halo. All are UHF on-metal tags, which conform to the RFID Generation 2 standards, and can be deployed for asset tracking in various industries. The Steelwave Micro is the most recent addition to the Confidex product family, enabling the accurate tracking of IT assets throughout their lifecycles. Rounding out the Confidex RFID offering are a series of specialty labels: the Carrier, Casey, Corona, Cruiser and Pino. The Carrier is designed to adhere to plastic surfaces, such as returnable plastic containers. The Casey can be used as a general label in places where materials with high dielectric constant need to be located close to the label. Corona and Cruiser provide visibility of work-in-process items in automotive manufacturing environments, while the Pino allows for the tracking of wooden pallets. Confidex is based in Finland.
