ecVision, a provider of product-lifecycle and supply-chain software, has released version 9.0 of its XpressCommerce application. The tool now gives users at the system-administrator level the ability to make configuration changes to a software installation after implementation. In the process, the vendor said, customers can utilize internal resources to manage their installations and assert control over the programming and modification of critical business processes. XpressCommerce helps users to establish a logic for information flow as product moves through the supply chain. It integrates with other technology applications to create a single system of record for data and activities shared with others. The Web-based system connects retailers to their supplier networks and enables key functions of product lifecycle management (PLM) and supply-chain execution (SCE) systems. Users can manage capacity and raw-material reservations, global sourcing and costing negotiations, customer and purchase orders, production tracking and shipment milestones. Additional features of the new release include enhancements to the user interface, framework and functionality within the system.
